Hi, everyone! My name is Allison and I have a blog called Allison’s Delicious Life. I blog about easy recipes, healthy choices, and life as a college foodie.
I’m so thrilled to be writing a guest post for Jenn as I’ve been a fan of her blog for a while now. I’m always captivated by her gorgeous pictures and restaurant reviews, so I thought I would share one of my own restaurant reviews with you today!
Recently I ate at an adorable restaurant called Tin Roof Bistro
. Situated in the beautiful Manhattan Beach, it is absolutely breathtaking. There is an option to dine under the sun on their front and side patios, or sit inside and take in their unique décor.
Though I’m in love with their quirky chandeliers and wooden tables, I’m more enamored by their FOOD
! Upon finishing my meal and waddling out the door, I instantly started planning my next return. I actually just visited again on Monday!
To start out, my family ordered the caramelized brussels sprouts. If you are not a fan of vegetables, you will IMMEDIATELY change your mind after trying these. The brussels sprouts are roasted with butter, garlic, lemon, anchovies, and capers until they are deliciously caramelized. A warm piece of bruschetta sits under the sprouts and soaks up all of the fragrant juices.
The table also split the Pizza Blanca with Proscuitto, which was absolutely delicious. It is the only pizza I have ever tasted that has a drizzle of balsamic syrup on it. Boy oh boy is balsamic syrup a nice addition to a cheesy, garlicy pizza. It was fantastic.
For my main entrée, I split the Honey and Wine Braised Beef Panini with Cheese, Served Au Jus with my dad. The sandwich comes with a farmers’ market salad, which I assumed would be the typical romaine and tomato. Boy was I wrong! Served alongside the Panini was a refreshing tabbouleh salad. What a nice surprise!
My mom was the healthy one of the bunch, ordering the Manhattan Beach Cobb Salad. It came with grapes, walnuts, gorgonzola cheese, bacon, cucumber, avocado, and chicken. So fresh!
My brother was a little more indulgent, ordering a cheeseburger and French fries. Actually, I ended up stealing about half of his French fries. Those things were out of this world! The burger was delicious and quite gourmet, but a little less easy to steal (so I stuck with stealing French fries).
This restaurant is AMAZING. If you are ever in Southern California, add this to your bucket list. Be sure to bring lots of friends, because this place is meant for sharing. There are simply too many wonderful things to try!
