Chicago Farmers Markets

Hello All!

Before we get started I wanted to quickly apologize for briefly being out of commission. My oven worked perfectly fine the night Kate and I made enchiladas, but then Monday came around and all of a sudden nothing worked… bummer. I had already prepared a vegetable bake and everything. Oh well, I will still try to get that bake cooked and ready to post, so hopefully you will see that soon.

So, it’s raining again… but hopefully the end of this weather is in sight.. April showers bring May flowers, right?

In spirit of my upbeat thinking I decided today would be a great day to post a little something about the fun summer activities that are quickly approaching… FARMERS MARKETS!

For all of you Chicagoans, you may or may not know that there are an abundance of farmers markets here in the city. The people of Chicago are so desperate to make the most out of the cold winter months that not only do we load up on summer farmer markets, but we also specialize in in-door markets for the off season months! There’s everything from locally run neighborhood markets to giant French indoor markets. Take your pick, I bet we can find it.

The following list is courtesy of Explore Chicago, and are broken down by the day of the week, followed by location, hours and a brief description. This is a great reference and I hope you are able to utilize it!
