El Mariachi Chicago

Happy May Everyone!

First off, I am so sorry for being so MIA lately, it’s finals week and the end is in sight! That being said, our oven is STILL out…
I promise I will do my best to get back on here before finals are over!

Okay, back to business.  I want to switch it up a little. Considering my friends and I have an obsession with Mexican food, I have found the majority of my pictures are of us enjoying the cuisine in some form or another! Instead of saturating the blog with a whole lot of Mexican restaurant reviews, I think I will save the reviews for the extreme cases only, such as Zocalo. What I will do instead is post pictures and restaurant information, and you can use it as a reference to choose what looks best to you. I promise that if it doesn’t have a review, it has a green light to go ahead and try it. I wouldn’t set you up for disaster like that.

3906 N. Broadway

Chicago, IL 60657

Hours of Operation:
Monday-Thursday: 5:00pm-11:00pm
Friday: 5:00pm-12:00am
Saturday: 11:00am-11:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am-10:00pm

It’s important you recognize that the correct address is on the 3900 block because they have two locations (this location is further north than the other). The one listed above is honestly the better of the two. The second is much smaller and is less of a group friendly atmosphere.

Vegetarian Fajita
El Mariachi Combo

Overall the food is good and their menu offers “Mexican Favorites” as well as interior cuisine. The guacamole appetizer is made table side. The people are friendly and their service is normal. We always make reservations, but the wait always seems to be tolerable.
