Today’s post is a little something I whipped up after an amazing purchase at the Glenwood Farmer’s Market: Green Spirit’s Raw Garden Spice Kale Chips. I am so in love with these chips that I wanted to recreate them myself (due to limited window for purchase). Unfortunately, I don’t have a dehydrator, so I decided to bake them instead.
The outcome was not quite identical, but pretty darn good for baked kale chips!
The secret ingredient? Lemon Pepper seasoning. Now, let’s get to it.
What You Need:
1/4-1/2lb Raw Kale
Olive Oil, to coat
Lemon Juice. to coat
1 Tbs. Lemon Pepper (or more, you make the call)
1 Tsp. Salt
2 Tsp. Pepper
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
Break the Kale into large chunks. Make sure they are large because they will shrink in the oven.
You can break, rip, or cut. You choose your method.
Place in a bowl with lemon juice and olive oil. Message (while coating) for 3 minutes.
Add the seasoning and message (coat) for another 2 minutes.
Bake 40-45 minutes, or until desired crispness is reached.
