Seriously. I couldn’t be more ready for the weekend. Thanks to my wonderful boyfriend, I will be enjoying it with plenty of nutrient rich “mocktails”. I’m going to take it easy this weekend and try to detox/rejuvenate. Let’s hope everything goes according to plan.
Yes, that looks gross but I promise it wasn’t. This was fresh out of the juicer, not mixed.
There was plenty of ginger, lemon, green apple, spinach, kale, celery, bok choy, carrot (obviously), and i think that’s it.
I think this afternoon I will be making more focused juices (per Katie’s request), not the everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach (which I typically take in both juices and foods).
Anyways, on to some conversational stuff.. I made an appointment with a nutritionist to talk about my (relatively) newly adopted Veganism. I’m excited and nervous all at the same time! I want to learn more about my decision and learn something about my lifestyle/diet. I am nervous because I don’t know what I’m in for exactly! I know that we will be picking apart my lifestyle and diet so naturally that’s scary for anyone. Who wants to learn the bad and the ugly about themselves? No one. But, in the pursuit of health? I surely do! It will just be interesting to experience the emotions that come with being “called out”, if you will.
