My family starts pouring into town today, and what better way to represent a celebration than with sweet treats?! Today’s post is of the vegan chocolate chip cookies that I’ve made before by Angela at Oh She Glows. I absolutely love this recipe because it is so simple and delicious. They are also extremely consistent, which is a sure sign of a great baking recipe. If you haven’t done so already, you should really check out Oh She Glows, Angela does an amazing job of creating delicious original vegan recipes AND veganized versions of our favorite foods. She has a huge following because people really recognize her talent, plus she seems like a real sweetheart too!
Anyway, one night a couple of weeks ago Katie and I were craving cookies so at 9pm we walked to the grocery story to get dairy-free chocolate chips and some Earth Balance for this recipe. After that one batch I became addicted and ended up making them again.. and again. These babies get the thumbs up of approval from vegans and non-vegans alike!
Well, I’m off to do some things around the house before meeting up with my family this afternoon! And in case you were wondering about the bar crawl yesterday… yes, we went. Although we missed the school’s Champagne Toast by Lake Michigan, the part we made it for was an absolute blast. We all had the best time celebrating our “last hurrah” with 600 other members of the class of 2012. It was the official kick off to Grad weekend, and I can’t wait for the fun that’s to come these next few days.
ps. I might lose internet this weekend due to moving, so I will try to squeeze something in tomorrow but you might not here from me until mid-week next week. Sorry and keep checking in!!
